Dreams Do Come True! Yes, even in times where it seems the world may be chaotic and tense.
It occurred to me as I walked to my first production meeting of our April theater event on a beautiful, sunny New York City day that I was truly happy! All the pieces had come together. I was realizing a dream that I had put off due to reasons and excuses including thoughts, maybe it was too late or maybe it was not pertinent to me anymore.
The angels have a way of clearing away what no longer serves you (people, places and things) and they help bring clarity to your dearest dreams.
I have been and still am an artist and an actor as well as an angel intuitive. From painting in a loft in downtown NYC back in the late ‘70’s often working on ten paintings at a time, six feet by six feet….today I do photography as it is expedient and fulfilling. I also had performed in Off Off Broadway productions as an actor a few years back immersed in the creative process and thrill of live artistic productions.
Then, I was guided to focus on other things, one, creating a stable income and deepening my spiritual practices which mostly were to deal and handle life stress. I had in the back of my mind or deep in my heart …to return to both one day… making and exhibiting my art and acting on stage again, even giving a talk on my art, the creative process as it relates to spirituality.
Last month a producer friend that I had worked with reached out to me to ask if I’d like to be part of a spring play festival this April. My first response was “Wow, yes!” then my ego kicked in and said, “Are you kidding? You haven’t acted in years, you don’t have the time and it’s not in alignment with what you’re presently doing …working with the angels, giving healing sessions, readings, coaching, public talks and a radio show.
That’s when my angels got really loud and said, “You can do this and you must!” I was reminded by them that the reason I went into acting at age 40 was to become a better artist, to open myself up creatively to a deeper level. (The guidance of my angels to go to acting school was also a dream realized.)
I allowed the process to unfold trusting in my uncertainty that I would be guided as to what I would actually do in this festival as I didn’t have extra time to rehearse, etc. My angels simple said, “Just be YOU!”
So with much joy and enthusiasm, I will be exhibiting my paintings on meditation and giving a talk about them, sharing about my process, my life that led me to be an angel reader, healer and speaker.
I will be talking about color, imagery and intuition.
It’s a lot to cover in one hour and I am really excited!
This is also is the beginning foundation of a one woman show that I have been thinking about for many years!
It has all come full circle.
Doors of Perception is the name of my talk taken from the book by Aldous Huxley. Which itself was a reference to a quote made by William Blake, “If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.” For me that’s what working with the angels is all about!

In this interactive talk artist- angel intuitive and actor Barbara Calvano will share about how developing psychic abilities and looking at and creating art go hand in hand. She will share about how her series of paintings called ‘Tandra’, a meditation state, came about from channeled messages.
